OUR HISTORY

Family values from the very start

In 1966, our founder, William G. “Bill” Verst, set out to build a customer-first, no-nonsense warehousing company—the type of company run by honest, hardworking people who always do the right thing to get results for customers.

We’ve since expanded well beyond that initial vision, both in terms of our physical scale and our solutions. But one thing remains constant: an unwavering commitment to serve our Verst family—including clients, employees, business partners and our community.

What Customers Are Saying

"This has been an extremely busy year for our company with several challenges and opportunities throughout our acquisitions and overall specialty plastics growth.  During that time, many of our resources were pulled in multiple directions.  As a result, we required dynamic solutions from our vendors to accommodate our material storage/handling needs with short notice.  Verst really came through for us this year as a fantastic partner in multiple locations which is highly appreciated.  We view Verst as a true partner and extension of our business and appreciate the relationship that has been built.

In addition to the growth accommodations, I would like to specifically call out the team at Burlington Pike.  Once again, when it came time to conduct our physical inventory, which is externally audited, the team showed just how amazing they are.  Cathy White and her team were exceptional throughout the inventory which went off without a hitch.  The more impressive part was that not a single adjustment had to be made in a facility that has over 1500 SKUs!  This is the definition of World Class - something that we strive for but rarely achieve and now the Burlington Pike team has done this more than once.  I’d like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for an absolutely amazing job by the entire site.  Everyone in that building should be extremely proud of such an accomplishment and realize how important their attention to detail is."

Sam Adkins, 3rd Party Warehouse Manager

"Verst has a vast range of services, they are easy to work with, and we really enjoy the mom-and-pop style of business."

Hal Simons, Senior Manager, American Operations

"Verst has a commitment to the Toyota business practices and works to achieve common goals."

Nick Duwell, Senior Production Analyst

"Verst had both the shrink equipment and the specialized expertise we needed to get our spoonables product line to market in record time. Their automated system applied the redesigned shrink sleeve labels onto our Miracle Whip products in a fraction of the time it would have taken us to do it in-house - with no capital equipment cost for Kraft Foods and virtually no waste. They streamlined the entire contract decorating process."

Confidentiality Protected, Senior Manager of Packaging Procurement

“They are easy to work with and their communication is great. They do what they say they will do.”

Maureen M, VP Logistics

“Verst provides an accurate, cost-effective, and timely operation.”

Harold P., Director of Transportation

“They have great rapport with our people, as well as extensive knowledge and experience”

Jack C., Director of Logistics
